Bioanalyzer 2100 – The Department has two Agilent Bioanalyzer 2100 systems. The Bioanalyzer is a micro-fluidics based platform that is able to analyze the quantity, quality, and characteristics of small RNA, DNA, protein and cell samples.  Samples are run in ~30 minutes and results are saved into a pdf file.

Blue Pippin – The Sage Science Blue Pippin can target a broad range of molecular sizes (90bp to 50kb) for use in preparing NGS libraries. 5 samples can be run in parallel with no risk of cross-contamination.

Countess II FL- The Life Technologies Countess II FL is an automated cell counter with florescence capability. This allows for cell counting, fluorescent protein expression monitoring, and measuring of cell viability.

Mini-Medical 90 Film Processor- This processor is a small foot-print processor that enables researchers to develop films for a variety of experiments. The unit is self contained and can handle films from 4″x4″ to 14″x36″. It is also extremely quick, capable of processing 90 14″x17″ films per hour.
